Established, organized and ran licensed computer consulting company with business partner. Designed and
installed systems and networks for small businesses and professional offices. Gathered requirements and
advised clients on available systems and networks. Maintained and upgraded existing systems. Installed
hardware, software and necessary cabling. Performed troubleshooting of software, hardware and network
problems.
Met with clients to determine needs and identified opportunities for streamlining operations to increase
growth. Performed extensive research to find best equipment and prices and presented offer to customer.
Trained customers in operation of different components and how to perform necessary backups.
Implemented system for antique store that had only one computer and adding machine, purchasing and
installing hardware, creating Access database for data collection and networking system to laptop at main
register. Enabled reduction of paper, easy comparison of cost versus selling price, instant entry of sales
into database from register and printing of monthly reports. Automated backups and implemented hard drive
redundancy. New system allowed owner to determine margins he was making on antiques and reduced time spent
in back room sorting and manually entering sales, allowing increase to store’s capacity.
